Bengali is the main language of the people of Sonaimuri upazila. 100% of the people speak Bengali. In the language of the people of Sonaimuri, the Arabic and Persian words of regionalism have an influence. These features of folklore have also influenced folklore.

 

At one time, Akash Shilpi Gosthi, Naboday Shilpi Gosthi and cultural organizations called 'Sonaimuri Ganamukh' used to perform songs and lyrics in various cultural events in the region. With the evolution of time and various problems, the organizations came to an end. At present, 'Eso Gaan Shikhi' and 'Sonaimuri Sangeet Academy' perform songs and dramas, lyric stories in various programs in the region. Baul, Marfati, Bhandari, Murshidi, Kheur, Tampa, Bhavaya, Bhatiali and Jarigan are rare in Sonaimuri upazila. Here and there the melodies of some Marfati, Bhatiali and Bhandari songs are occasionally heard. At present, the riddles, proverbs, sayings of Dak and Khanar, folk tales, folk beliefs, rhymes, folk songs, etc., which are prevalent in different parts of Bangladesh, have found a place along with Sonaimuri's own folklore. These puzzles, proverbs, sayings and sayings, folk tales, folk beliefs, rhymes, Folk songs etc. are the same everywhere among the Bengali speakers. Although there is a slight difference in the influence of regional languages, there is no difference in terms of ideas and similarities. Below are proverbs, dak and khanar bachans, folk songs, rhymes, regional songs etc. in the folk literature of this region. Puzzles are a significant part of the oldest folklore of Sonaimuri. Though small in size, the literary appeal of the puzzle is undeniable due to its tenderness and intelligible mystery. The appeal of the puzzle in the past was immense. Dr. Qazi Deen Muhammad rightly said, 'Through the use of riddles and enigmas in any aspect of our daily life, the creation of humor, the practice of thought, the development of intellect and the campaign of imagination can begin. Regional songs etc. are especially known. Puzzles are a significant part of the oldest folklore of Sonaimuri. Though small in size, the literary appeal of the puzzle is undeniable due to its tenderness and intelligible mystery. The appeal of the puzzle in the past was immense. Dr. Qazi Deen Muhammad rightly said, 'Through the use of riddles and enigmas in any aspect of our daily life, the creation of humor, the practice of thought, the development of intellect and the campaign of imagination can begin. Regional songs etc. are especially known. Puzzles are a significant part of the oldest folklore of Sonaimuri. Though small in size, the literary appeal of the puzzle is undeniable due to its tenderness and witty mysteries. The appeal of the puzzle in the past was immense. Dr. Qazi Deen Muhammad rightly said, 'Through the use of riddles and enigmas in any aspect of our daily life, the creation of humor, the practice of thought, the development of intellect and the campaign of imagination can begin.

Sonaimuri is intimately involved with the puzzle of folk life. Below are some of the puzzles-

1. There is a house, there is no door

4. Three mothers of one old woman

5. Before eating

Hey things seem to bake.

At weddings, at majlis, at darbars, at ruchmat, when the bridegroom goes to majlis in the inner palace, the following puzzles are competed through national mourning. When one party asks a question through grief, the other party answers it.
