Sports and recreation

Sonaimuri Upazila has been a popular sports destination since ancient times. Various tournaments are held here every year. Cricket and football are now the dominant sports in the country, but other sports are not far behind. Sonaimuri has several playgrounds. Sonaimuri College playground and Sonaimurihai school playground are located in the heart of the city. The following football competitions are held every year:
